ARTIST
Zeynep Copur, born in Istanbul Turkey in 1980, is a painter and an illustrator whose main focus is primarily on realistic paintings in pastel and oil. She holds an undergraduate degree in Philosophy from Bogazici University. During her B.A., her interest in arts and the courses she attended on freehand drawing and oil painting led her to become an instructor of pencil drawing and perspective in the Fine Arts Club of the university. After graduation, she took a Masters Degree in Industrial Product Design at Istanbul Technical University and she completed a part of her degree in Politecnico di Milano.
In 2007 she moved to Moscow and continued her art practice as a freelance painter and an illustrator. She worked closely with architects and interior designers and created large scale paintings for offices, preschools and private properties.
After she moved to Istanbul in 2014 she took part in Mixer Art Gallery Group Exhibition in 2016.
She participated in the 2017 Pusula Sanat "Paper Works" exhibition.
She took part in the 2018 Türkan Saylan Cultural Center "Büyük ve Derin Sessizlik" Group Exhibition.
She participated in the 2018 Mandarin Oriental Bodrum "Summer Selection" exhibition.
She took part in the 2018 Tüyap Artist 2018 Art Fair.
In 2019 her first solo exhibition "Neophilia" took place in F Art Gallery in Nişantaşı, İstanbul.
She currently resides in Istanbul and continues to work on her paintings, using mostly oil, acrylic and pastel mediums.
